Baja Scuba Diving Report - February 28th, 2006

Hola Amigos

I am very glad that I can tell you all great news about the dives in La Paz ; Over the weather conditions and the winter season, is been beautiful just like all the time in La Paz.

Recently, while on a dive in La Paz, we have been visited for all kind of mammals , some Gray Whales that had get lost on their way to Canada have been seen around the Espiritu Santo Island and la Paz Bay, also some Fin Whales and some Humpback have been swimming around the sea of Cortez. Definitely the sea of Cortez have been busy; We have seen also some families of Dolphins that likes to jump and swim in front of the boat, playing along for miles and miles, like if they never get tired of swimming on high speed.

Also the hammerheads have been around, checking on they territory, they swim along the sea mountains back and forth. Is definitely been fun in here; I am so lucky, every day looking at this on the way to the dives, then getting there to dive the Hammers, and then making the second dive at the seals, that by the way they are on their best season, super playful baby seals at Los Islotes, and looking at the Whale Sharks (that still around) on El Mogote in the way back to the Club… What can I say? … The water might be a little cold but it worth it. It really is!

I hope to see you soon.

All the best,

The Crew
The Cortez Club
