Dive Baja!
In my thirteen years of living in La Paz I have never known a year like 2005 where whale sharks have remained in the bay for the entire year! For most of the year, there have been sightings of up to 6 of them until Tuesday 22nd November when we saw 15 to be precise. Wow! And you can dive with these creatures here in Baja!
I have spoken to locals that have lived in La Paz for all their lives and cannot remember ever seeing so many incredible creatures in our waters.
If you have never been swimming with whale sharks or even if you have it is truly a fantastic and spiritual experience. Well now is your chance. How long will they stay? Who knows!
Water temperature right now is 79f at the surface and 75f at depth, but will gradually start to drop over the next weeks.
Hammerhead sharks are plentiful at the sea mounts of El Bajo and visibility is between 30 to 50 feet.
Tired of work and wanting a good excuse to go away? Now is the time!
See you next week.
