James
James is the owner of The Cortez Club. We like to call James.......well it is something we can't print! Seriously, James is very approachable, always ready to greet you with a smile and is very generous at the bar. He is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and loves teaching as much as he loves telling jokes.

Luis
Our General Manager, Luis, has one ambition in life - to provide the Best Customer Service in the World. Luis BBQ's the meanest fish you have ever tasted; his carne asada is pretty good too. If there is anything you need or any assistance required Luis is the man to speak to.

Cleo
Cleo is our resident Black Labrador; she enjoys playing with clients and staff. She has a passion for chasing cats and anyone with food. Cleo loves to swim and will do anything for a coconut. Cleo's main job at The Cortez Club is to ensure there is no way you're missing your pets whilst on vacation with us.

Ricardo
Ricardo is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and a more-than-capable boat Captain. His excellence as a Scuba Instructor is equaled only by his amazing ability on Playstation. Ricardo is extremely patient and has warmth about him second to none. He is very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the Sea of Cortez and the nightlife in La Paz.

Marcus
Marcus is one of our Divemasters. Half man, half fish he is a fantastic Dive guide, an amazing Captain and an accomplished fisherman. Marcos seems to be able to forecast the weather better than satellite technology. When not at the Cortez Club he can be found surfing the Pacific...he is also a keen gardener.

Danny
Danny is one of our most accomplished Captains and also a Divemaster. He is one of the most generous and helpful young men you will ever meet; constantly cheerful, nothing is ever too much trouble for Danny. We all like Danny a lot....

Toto
If you ever meet anyone you consider a fishing or a spear fishing expert, they could have only learnt it from Toto. We have clients travel from all over the World just to have Toto be their fishing Captain. Toto is living proof that a man with a large "beer belly" can out dive the American Spear Fishing Team.

Jose
Jose is the man that keeps us all going. He is our resident mechanic, be it boat, car, wave runner, or motorbike....you name it, if it has an engine Jose will fix it. Jose is responsible for all the good work behind the scenes.

Alejandro
Alex is Cesar's assistant in the bar and also top scorer in our soccer team. Alex loves helping out on the boats and playing pool...he has revolutionised the music in our bar...providing you like reggae!

Marie
Marie is one of our divemasters, she is originally from Quebec/Montreal and is also a practising vet. Along with providing excellent service on dive boats..she keeps all our pets and animals healthy...in fact we have started to send Luis the manager to her for his check ups. Marie also helps rescue all the stray animals in La Paz..she can be found cycling around town feeding all the strays.

Rocio
Rocio is one of our Divemaster and our trained kids instructor and child minder. Rocio coordinates our kids club. She teaches the kids all about the local wildlife and conservation. She loves drawing and painting...she is very good! Her biggest passion outside of The Cortez Club is watching movies..especially horror movies

Luke
Luke is the only PADI Course Director in the entire Peninsula and is always making sure that The Cortez Club stays with at the forefront of Diving. Having introduced Rebreathers, he is now moving to make The Cortez Club the first technical dive center in Baja. Luke will only be too glad to help you with any training or general diving queries that you may have, as well as share his many u/w photography, video making skills, and his commercial diving experiences. He is also a Soccer fanatic..but he is a Chelsea fan
