Snorkeling The Sea of Cortez With The Cortez Club

The sea lion colony of Los Islotes will be closed for scuba diving & snorkeling from June 1st to August 31st because of mating season.

The waters of La Paz and the Sea Of Cortez offer world class snorkelling due to its marine diversity and in particular the Island of Espiritu Santo with its numerous white sandy beaches and rocky parameters it lends itself to exploring and snorkelling.

There are sites closer to La Paz such as Balandra Bay and San Rafaelito where we offer daily excursions.

However there is nothing that comes close to a trip to the Island of Espiritu Santo where you have a sight seeing extravaganza and a most memorable snorkelling experience.

The cost of the trip is $125.00 USD p/person + 16% local tax. Includes full snorkeling equipment, sandwich or burritos, bottled water, soft drinks, chips & cookies.

Depart from our dock at 8:30 am and head to Los Islotes, a group of small islands at the north of Espiritu Santo Island, year round home to a colony of over 350 curious Californian brown Sea Lions!

The pups are playful and great fun to swim with! You will see big schools of fish, reef fish, rays and more…!

The site is home over 4000 different marine species, with occasional visits from larger marine mammals such as Dolphins and Whales.

Then you can head for the beach on Isla Partida, for lunch. Collect shells, laze about or snorkel the parameters of the beach.

The trip cost $125 USD + 16% local Tax
Includes all equipment, sandwich or burritos, water, soft drinks, fruit, chips & Cookies.

The Cortez Club does not allow the collection of live marine species. Any shells collected must not contain any living species.

National Park Permit Fee is required by law per person and costs $7 USD per day.
